About Out in Minnesota
Out In Minnesota is newly-redesigned as the Community and Official Home Page of gay Minnesota and a resource for our states and cities' gay locals and visitors.
Our Nitelife page lists the local gay bars and other gay businesses, together with brief information about each of them. Each one of these has its own page here which includes more detailed information and a map. Notice the menu at the top right of this page. It's for when you want to get to information about one of those quickly.
Maps are provided so that you can find your way around. And we provide a list of the major Hotels including phone numbers (both local and toll-free). Tourists, especially, will want to download our brief Guide to Gay Minnesota in Adobe Acrobat format and print it as a convenient reference. It's not flashy but it has lots of useful information: names, addresses, phone numbers, and brief descriptions of bars and bathhouses; Hotel phone numbers; and maps. Put it in your wallet before you leave home!
We invite local organizations to make use of our Message Board. If your organization wants its own customized forum, just let us know. Other forums are intended for everybody to use for any purpose - within the bounds of legality and civility. Discuss the relative merits of our local bars or "hook up" or debate current events.
Registration is free and simple. Provide a detailed personal profile if you like. You may include your photograph, your birthday, a description of yourself, and much more. Be sure to choose a personal Avatar to go alongside all of your messages - you may select an avatar from among those provided; or link to a graphic elsewhere; or upload it from your own computer.
We invite everyone to add items for our Events Calendar. You can put new events into the calendar directly, or if you email us we will be happy to do it for you. Send us whatever information and graphics you wish to see included.
You are welcome to send us your Personal Ads and Classified Ads. Personal ads are perfectly free. We just need to hear from you once in a while verifying that you wish for your ad to continue to be shown. The Personals Forum at the message board is provided as a place to discuss the personal ads or as an alternative venue for hook-ups. There will be a fee for Classified advertising - please contact us for more information.
