Parental Escort Policy
The Parental Escort Policy (PEP) at Mall of America® changed from 6 p.m. to 4 p.m. on October 7, 2005. While everyone is welcome at Mall of America, a Parental Escort Policy implemented in 1996 requires younger guests (under age 16) be accompanied by an adult 21 years or older on Friday and Saturday evenings after 4 p.m.
Anyone 21 years or younger should be prepared to show a driver's license, state identification card or passport during the Parental Escort Policy hours. One adult can escort up to 10 kids, under age 16. The policy was put into effect to ensure the safety of all guests and tenants at Mall of America.
